Pipas and Quiquos

In southern climes, everyone is probably familiar with sunflower seeds, which are salty and first cracked with relish in the whole shell, then the inner kernel is eaten. Quiquos are roasted corn kernels, a healthy alternative.

The many varieties of Spanish crisps clearly speak for the Spaniards' enjoyment of life. As a snack between meals or as an aperitivo with a cool beer right on the beach before heading to the restaurant for a full-bodied paella.
